Spend one day in our Educational Institute, and change every day of teaching.
Join us for an inspiring journey into the transformative Roots ConnectED Anti- Bias education Framework. Designed for school leaders, teachers, and educational practitioners committed to fostering inclusive learning environments, this session will provide practical tools and insights to effectively address bias and promote equity in educational settings through shifts in school culture and curriculum.
Why?
You know that advancing educational equity requires transforming school spaces and working to center marginalized voices. ‘Transforming School Culture and Curriculum: Centering Equity’ is a day dedicated to how we can prioritize practices that disrupt dominant culture through consistent effort to create spaces of belonging. This makes way for students to have access to various forms of learning success.
As a participant in this Institute, you will be given the space to cultivate a human and love centered mindset while practicing the use of anti-bias tools. You will leave with more confidence, experience and resources to support your journey as an educator
What?
In this transformative one-day professional development session we will share how you can do this important work through lessons and practical examples of how to build community, increase representation in curriculum, cultivate critical thinking skills, and provide multiple pathways to learning. With our Anti-Bias Education Framework as a foundation, together we will realize not only your capacity, but that of your students’, to create change.
Participants will:
Build fluency with the Roots ConnectED Anti-Bias Education Framework.
Reflect on why and how to increase engagement through opportunities for students to learn about themselves and others.
Consider actionable next steps for practice and how to use the learning from this session in your own site.
